Aim
The aim of the undergoing Diploma program is to:
To Prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent Diploma program and in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services.
To Prepare Diploma program who can make independent decisions in Paramedical situations, in the hospital, community Diploma program, and conduct research studies in the areas of Paramedical practice. They are also expected to assume the role of teacher, supervisor, and manager in a clinical/public health setting.
a) To Provide the necessary knowledge training and practical skill in Diploma program care to the patient in all types of illness.
b) To Train and help the Technician to work in mutual co-operation with other medical and para-medical staff.
c)To Teach the Paramedical Staff in various programmes for prevention of disease and promotion of a healthy community.
Objectives
On completion of the 2 years of diploma programme the graduate will be able to
1.Apply knowledge from physical, biological and behavioral sciences, medicine including alternative systems and Paramedical in providing Technical care to individuals, families, and communities
2.Demonstrate an understanding of lifestyle and other factors, which affect the health of individuals and groups.
3.Demonstrate skills in the use of problem-solving methods in Paramedical practice.
4.Gain knowledge of health resources in the community and the country.
5.Demonstrate the understanding of commitment to professional behavior.
6.Demonstrate understanding of commitment of professional behavior.
